Artificial Intelligence has been all over the internet since it exploded onto the scene late last year. Now social media is getting involved, with Snapchat releasing My AI. After having limited access to subscribers, here’s how to get Snapchat AI for free.
We’ve all become a little obsessed with artificial intelligence ever since ChatGPT was released last year and revolutionised how we thought about it. There have even been debates over whether students should be allowed to use ChatGPT as it threatens to change how university assessments work.
Also familiar to students is Snapchat, which was quick off the mark to utilise the technology and developed its own chatbot for users. After a wider release earlier this month, there are plenty of questions being asked about Snapchat My AI.
Snapchat+ Users Were First With New Feature
Though the chatbot will be new to most on Snapchat, it’s actually been around since February. Initially, My AI was available to Snapchat+ users a few months ago. Paying £3.99/$3.99 each month, subscribers get exclusive content and early access to certain features; one of which was the Snapchat AI.
As of this week, it’s now been opened up to all users, with over 2 million messages sent each day to the My AI chatbot. Though it has certain restrictions, some of which you can jailbreak on Snapchat AI, more functions will be coming soon. One of which will be to send snaps from the bot, instead of just text.
Many have been having fun with it, though there are ways to remove Snapchat AI if you do wish.
Some, however, have had trouble accessing it after being faced with a paywall.
How To Get Snapchat AI For Free
Many have had issues accessing Snapchat AI for free, despite it’s wider release. However, there should be an easy fix for this.
The chatbot should be available to those around the world, so free access issues won’t be due to your location. Actually, it’s probably as simple as updating your app. Do bare in mind that the release will be gradual, so it may be that it’s just not available in your region as of yet.
Snapchat AI is now available for free to all users as of its latest update. So, if you can’t find it on your device, make sure you have the latest version and turn automatic updates on whilst you’re there. This will save you from missing out on releases in the future.
Once finished, you’ll be able to find Snapchat AI for free by swiping across from your camera screen. You’ll then see all your chats, with an additional My AI included. Simply click and start chatting!
If you’re still having issues, then you can always delete the Snapchat cache from your device. You’ll find this in setting and clearing it will prevent your phone from running an older version. You can also delete and reinstall the app, or simply close and re-open it to fix any minor bugs affecting it.
As more features are set to be released, it’s uncertain whether these will be immediately free for all users, or go to Snapchat+ subscribers first. Eitherway, it’s likely any features will become available to all eventually.
