How To Disable Automatic TikTok Filters

TikTok tends to add some filters into videos by default. If you want to disable these automatic filters, start a new video by tapping the plus sign. Select the effects menu on the bottom left and tap on any selected effects to deselect them. Look for a red checkmark on the retouch icon and if you see it, tap it to turn beauty mode off. Finally, tap the filters icon and when the popup menu appears, select the circle with a diagonal line. Now, you’re left with no filters and a clean base to start a video with.

If you’ve already posted your video. unfortunately you won’t be able to remove any of the filters. If it’s still in the drafts, however, you can follow these simple steps.

First, open your profile on the TikTok app. Then, open your drafts and select the video with the filter you want to remove. Go to the top left corner and select the back button, which will return you to the editing programme. On the bottom left, find the effects menu and then hit the undo button. This will remove the effects you’ve added to the video one by one, in reverse order of how you added them. Once you’ve removed the filter you wanted to get rid of, hit next to save your edits and none to proceed without any filters. Then, you can save your draft and publish it if you’d like.
