Who Is Ian McKellen?
Sir Ian McKellen is a renowned English actor, whose career spans various different genres and some seven decades. Throughout his impressive career, he has won seven Olivier Awards, one Tony Award and a Golden Globe Award.
Some of his most well-known roles include Antonio Salieri, Magneto in The X-Men series of films and Gandalf in The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
In short, McKellan is an acting legend to some of the biggest fandoms in the world.

Who Else Is In Mother Goose?
Starring alongside McKellen as Vic, Mother Goose’s husband is Liverpudlian comedian John Bishop. The pair appeared on The Graham Norton Show together to promote the tour and it was revealed that Bishop is McKellen’s first on-stage husband.
Cilla The Goose will be played by Anna-Jane Casey, best known for her musical theatre work in shows such as West Side Story.
Oscar Conlon-Morrey is playing the role of Jack. He is best known for his theatre work in shows such as Only Fools and Horses and The Toxic Avenger.
Other cast members include: Simbi Akande, Sharon Ballard, Adam Brown and Karen Mavundukure.
Upcoming Dates
Ian McKellen is ideal for panto and this should be an incredible watch. Mother Goose is running until April 2023 stopping at London, Sheffield, Liverpool and other cities.
