Lady Gaga’s hit song Bloody Mary is making a comeback thanks to Netflix’s Wednesday.

The song, which was released in 2011, has become attached to the latest TikTok trend where creators do the iconic Wednesday Adams dance featured in the new Netflix series.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll have heard of Wednesday. Netflix’s newest original series, based on The Addams Family, has quickly become the topic of conversation. It’s already broken Netflix’s record for the most watched show, beating Stranger Things 4.

Created by Tim Burton, Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, the series sees Wednesday Addams at Nevermore Academy, a boarding school for supernatural outcasts where she gets thrown into a nail biting mystery.

Is The Song Bloody Mary In Wednesday?

Even though it’s the song that went viral on TikTok with the trend, Bloody Mary didn’t actually appear in the show once. Instead, during the iconic dance scene in episode 4, at the Rave’N dance, the song that actually accompanied the dance was Goo Goo Muck by The Cramps. The dance trend has gone so viral with Lady Gaga’s song, you forget it wasn’t actually what Wednesday was dancing to.

This trend has thrown Jenna Ortega, who plays Wednesday, into the spotlight as everywhere fans are recreating Wednesday’s dance that the actor choreographed herself.

What Did Jenna Ortega Say About Her Dance?

Speaking to NME about the dance, Ortega said: ‘I choreographed that myself! I’m not a dancer and I’m sure that’s obvious. I’d gotten the song about a week before and I just pulled from whatever I could… it’s crazy because it was my first day with COVID so it was awful to film.

‘Yeah, I woke up and – it’s weird, I never get sick and when I do it’s not very bad – I had the body aches. I felt like I’d been hit by a car and that a little goblin had been let loose in my throat and was scratching the walls of my oesophagus. They were giving me medicine between takes because we were waiting on the positive result.’
