If you haven’t been to Amsterdam yet, then add it to your bucket list! It’s the perfect place to go for a long weekend full of beautiful views, lots of history and some crazy nightlife. So here are some of the best things for students to do in Amsterdam.

Van Gogh Museum

If you’re into art, the Van Gogh Museum is a must-see! Take a trip to the Museum Square in Amsterdam South and venture through this beautiful museum full of Vincent Van Gogh’s work and his contemporaries. This museum maintains the world’s largest collection Gogh’s work including paintings drawings and letters. This is one of the best things for students to do in Amsterdam; you won’t regret it.

The Anne Frank House

If you enjoy learning about the history of places you travel to then you might want to visit The Anne Frank House. You have probably heard about it before. This is a biographical museum dedicated to the Jewish wartime diarist Anne Frank. You will find this museum located on a canal called the Prinsengracht in Central Amsterdam. If you are looking to go here then make sure you book a ticket in advance as it’s extremely popular to visit.

A’DAM Lookout

Get your heart racing and go on the big swing at A’DAM Lookout. You’ll be taken up twenty floors in an elevator with a light show to a rooftop with a restaurant, bar and an over-the-edge swing. The swing and rooftop overlooks Amsterdam and you can chill with a drink while soaking up the view. Take some photos and make some memories here!

Pub Crawl

If you’re heading to Amsterdam for the nightlight then you’ll probably already know about it’s nightlife. Sign up to one of the many pub crawls available and venture through the city after dark. You’ll see the other side of Amsterdam and be able to meet lots of people while exploring the city in a different light!

The Upside Down Museum

And try and go to The Upside Down Museum if you can! Full of Museum optical illusions and art-themed rooms to take pics in – you’ll want to clear your camera roll storage before coming here. Bring your mates and snap some photos to stick on the kitchen fridge at home, you’ll take plenty.

And if you haven’t already been to an ice bar before then this is your sign to go! Wrap up warm and sip shots and beers from ice glasses for a totally new experience! Then head out to the bars in Amsterdam Central to carry on the night.
