If you’ve not seen them before, then we’re seriously wondering where you’ve been. Their youtube videos are always incredibly funny and incredibly popular. Showing us that getting old doesn’t mean getting less fun, the Old Gays are now on TikTok and you don’t want to miss their content.
Who Are They?
The four men are social media activists and LGBT activists, spreading positivity on YouTube and TikTok. The oldest is Robert Reeves, who turns 80 this year (2023), followed by Bill Lyons who is a year younger. Then we have Jessay Martin who was born in 1953 and the youngest of the quartet is Mick Peterson who was born in 1956.
The group first rose to internet fame in 2018 after doing promotional videos for the Grindr YouTube channel. Pretty soon after that, they grew a huge following across their platforms, with millions of followers as of 2023. All living in California, the friends often make longer videos or shorter skits together. Sometimes it’s for activism and awareness, but most of the time it’s pure entertainment as we can’t get enough.
