It all began when a teen uploaded a video of him ‘showing off his new shoes’ whilst singing the ‘one, two, buckle my shoe rhyme in a funny way.
Changing the lyrics a little, the song goes:
‘One, two, buckle my shoe. Three, four, buckle some more. Five, six, Nike Kicks.’
Comically, in the TikTok video, a fake buckle has been added to the Nike shoes, showing how shoes nowadays tend not to come with the feature.
The sound has now been used on hundreds of videos, but the original has a huge 692k views and growing. With over 40k likes to its name, the comments are filled with people calling the song ‘fire’ and praising his voice. Of course, it’s all a bit of a joke but it’s one the whole internet is in on.

Only posted three days ago, people are using the sound and showing their dramatic reaction to the ‘instant hit.’ We’ve seen the return of the Spongebob levitating meme as well as many others and TikTok fans continue to praise the remix.
