TikTok has been keeping up busy in January with a number of different quizzes to take part in. The latest one features one of the most loved characters from our childhood and hopes to give us details about our personality. Now it’s started going viral, we can tell you how to do the Winnie the Pooh test on Tiktok which uses pathology data as well as what the different characters represent.
Everybody has heard of Winnie the Pooh, and it’s pretty likely you have a favourite character of the bunch. However, some believe that each of the characters actually represents something deeper. Enter the Winnie the Pooh pathology test, which is now trending on TikTok.
How To Do The Winnie The Pooh Pathology Test
There are multiple websites that offer the test, however, the one that is trending is the Individual Differences Research (IDR) version. Select the language you want to take the test in and then scroll down to the first question.
The TikTok Winnie the Pooh test has 33 questions, in which you have to decide how much you agree or disagree with a statement. Simply slide the button to one of the six options depending on what you think. Click ‘Next’ once you’re happy with your answer. If you’ve changed your mind or accidentally answered one, then you have the option to go back to the previous question.
The statements are concerned heavily with emotions, how you react to different situations and cognitive reasoning.
Here are a couple of the statements you’re asked to respond to in the Winnie the Pooh test:
“When things get too boring I feel compelled to start adding a little colour to the situation to get the party started.”
“I take things too literally so that I often miss the intention behind what people are trying to say.:
Once you’ve answered all 33, you are presented with a graph showing how similar you are to each of the Winnie the Pooh characters.
Many of those who have taken the viral TikTok test have shared their results on social media. Often, they’ve found a correlation between their favourite character and who they are most similar to.
What Is The Pooh Pathology Test?
Individual Differences Research published the Winnie the Pooh pathology test and it’s free to use. Developed by two medical doctors and those who have studied the characters, the test tells you which of the Winnie the Pooh group you are most like.
They propose that each of the characters is a representation of a different “psychiatric diagnosis.” This is something people have speculated about on the internet before. Whilst it’s an interesting theory, the author A. A Milne never confirmed it; nor any other official source.
The results of the test aren’t a diagnosis, as the website says before you take the test:
“The results of our free online Winnie the Pooh test are provided “as-is”, for free, and should not be construed as providing professional or certified advice of any kind.”
So don’t go labelling yourself as your result before you have seen a medical professional in person
What Do The Different Winnie The Pooh Characters Represent?
According to IDR, these are what the different Winnie the Pooh characters represent in terms of “psychiatric conditions.”
- Pooh: Attention Deficit Disorder
- Piglet: Anxiety
- Tigger: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
- Rabbit: Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
- Roo: Autism
- Eeyore: Depression
- Christopher Robbin: Schizophrenia
Perhaps your results won’t be surprising, or they’ll be a little too accurate. Either way, they aren’t definitive answers for any conditions. It’s all just a bit of fun to try and know a bit more about yourself, and the Pooh characters!
