The Qatar World Cup has caused some disruption to the TV schedule lately, and this weekend is no different. With shows like Strictly Come Dancing and Casualty not in their usual time slot, what’s been rescheduled for the World Cup this weekend?

This weekend, some of our favourite shows moved because of World Cup games. The competition is only getting hotter, meaning more is being rescheduled for the week ahead. Worried when your unmissable show is on? We have the latest news on what has been rescheduled for the World Cup on TV this weekend.

When Is Strictly Come Dancing On This Weekend?

The main Strictly show was moved to Friday last week, with the results show airing early on Saturday evening. Unfortunately, it’s been moved again but in a different slot entirely.

The eagerly anticipated semi-final show will air on Sunday, December 11 at 7.15 pm. The Strictly Come Dancing results show will be on Monday, December 12, at 8.15 pm.

The remaining couples will dance twice to try and earn themselves a place in the grand final. The third-place playoff of the World Cup will take place on Saturday, December 17 but only in the afternoon. This means that Strictly should be in its usual spot for the final.

Is Casualty On This Weekend?

Our favourite medical drama has been pushed aside for the hectic BBC schedule lately. Fans were thrilled that it was put on Sunday last weekend so that they didn’t have to miss out.

At the moment, Casualty is not set to air this weekend. However, it wasn’t announced until last Friday that it would air on the Sunday, therefore there’s still hope yet.

The next air date isn’t known yet for Casualty, so fans will be keeping their fingers crossed to see it again this weekend.

I Can See Your Voice is also on at the later time of 9.15 pm which is the same as last week. The mystery singing game has been pushed back once again for the football. The series finale will air later on in December on Christmas Eve.

What’s Been Rescheduled For The World Cup On ITV This Weekend?

Looking at the ITV schedule this weekend, it looks like only the 1% Club has been pushed back for the World Cup. There are plenty of films on ITV2 over the weekend to keep you watching if all the football is driving you wild.

It’s even beginning to look a lot like Christmas, with festive hits such as Arthur Christmas and The Grinch on ITV 2 on Sunday.

Hopefully, this will be the same for the following weekend for the World Cup finale. After that, we’ll be heading into the Christmas schedule for the festive season!
