People have just got over the release of The Crown Series 5, but now something a little more truthful will be catching the world’s attention. The documentary Harry And Meghan Volume 1 was released on Netflix today to many who eagerly awaited what they have to say.
The documentary is guaranteed to get people talking, but we take a look at the couple’s past and how it all started.
When Did Harry and Meghan Meet?
The pair met in May 2016 and started dating shortly after in the July of the same year. At the time, Meghan was an actress most famous for her appearance on Suits.
How the two met is probably more uncommon for members of the Royal Family. A mutual friend set the two up on a blind date. It has been rumoured that the friend was Misha Noono, a British fashion designer. However, this has never been confirmed.
Attempting to hold on to their privacy when their relationship was still fresh, Harry and Meghan were forced to come public in November 2016. Their relationship had been leaked to the tabloids and a huge media frenzy began, and never really stopped for the two.
Although how Harry and Meghan met was quite a typical way for relationships to begin, their status meant that unfortunately, it would never last long. It was then quite a while after this that the pair made their first official appearance.
Their Engagement And Wedding
Harry and Meghan first appeared together when she attended a royal engagement in 2017. The pair attended the Invictus Games in Toronto in September, and in late November it was announced that the two were engaged.
The two didn’t have a particularly long engagement and were wed on May 19, 2018. Their nuptials took place in St George’s Chapel, with many celebrity guests. However, the world was in attendance too. 18 million people watched in the UK, with another 23 million watching in the US, Meghan’s home.
Upon marriage, Harry and Meghan were gifted Royal titles and became The Duke And Duchess of Sussex. Although they then decide that they would be leaving the Royal family, they still hold these titles.
When Will Harry and Meghan Volume 2 Be Released?
When they moved to America, Harry and Meghan were interviewed by Oprah about the reality of being in the Royal Family. The interview was widely discussed and reported and caused huge friction between them, the press and the general public.
With more of a story to tell, they signed a deal to create a documentary with Netflix: Harry and Meghan. Volume 1. The first three episodes of the documentary were released today. People all around the world will be tuning in to hear what the famous couple will be saying.
