Lord Sugar’s competition to become his next business partner began last night (January 5) for its 2023 series. Some of the previous winners have gone on to business success, others, not so much. We look at where The Apprentice winners are now, including their net worth.
After we went without a series in 2020 and 2021, and a COVID-limited series in 2022, fans will be glad to hear that The Apprentice will be returning to normal for the 2023 series. Well, as normal as The Apprentice can be. Claude Littner returned for the first episode where the candidates gave tours in Antigua. Now, first-series winner Tim Campbell will be taking the series and supervising half the candidates for the rest of the series.

Michelle Dewberry – Series 2
Kicking off our list of where The Apprentice winners are now is Michelle Dewberry. After winning The Apprentice in 2006, Michelle began a business consultancy before releasing her autobiography, Anything Is Possible, the following year. In 2009, she joined the magazine Business Matters as a monthly columnist.
Michelle then turned her career towards politics and stood as an independent candidate in the 2017 general election in Hull West and Hessle. She finished fourth. Two years later, she stood as the Brexit Party candidate for the constituency, finishing third.

Simon Ambrose – Series 3
Simon worked at Lord Sugar’s property company Amsprop from when he won in 2007 til 2010. He left to start his own adventure. Simon is now a venue operator and owner primarily in London whilst also being the chairman of the London Contemporary Orchestra.

Lee McQueen – Series 4
Once Lee had one series 4 of The Apprentice, he began working at Amscreen as the development director. He states in the role for 2 years before starting his own company, Raw Talent Academy. Lee has been running the company since, with academies in Bristol, Watford, Birmingham and Windsor.
Now, he lives in Oxfordshire with his wife and three children. He has a reported net worth of $1.6 million.
Yasmina Saiadatan – Series 5
Yasmina took a job at Amscreen Health Care after winning the competition in 2009, where she worked for almost two years. According to her LinkedIn, she was then Head of Operations at Hamilton Bradshaw for a few months before becoming the Creative Director at Start Up Loans Company. She did this until 2016 when she then became the Sales & Marketing Director at Dynamic Planner. Yasmina has done this ever since.

Stella English – Series 6
According to The Motivational Agency, where you can book Stella to speak at corporate events and functions, the businesswoman left Alan Sugar’s business “deciding the role wasn’t what she had in mind.” In 2012, she became chief of staff at Citi and then a Management Consultant at HP.
The Daily Record reports that Stella unsuccessfully tried to sue Lord Sugar and admitted to financial difficulty as a result.

Tom Pellerau – Series 7
Tom was the first The Apprentice winner to secure a business deal and business partner with Lord Sugar. Together, they set up STYLIDEAS, which aims to “make beauty effortless.”
According to his LinkedIn, the company is currently hiring, suggesting it is still running and is successful. The page also boasts his beauty inventions with the company.

Ricky Martin – Series 8
Ricky won The Apprentice in 2012 and started up Hyper Recruitment Solutions with Lord Sugar. Looking At Recruiter Ricky, HRS made its first £1 million profit in 2018 before Ricky launched the Recruiter Ricky podcast in the following year.
The business, which specialises in recruitment across the science and technology sectors, has been expanded across the EU and found much success. He is now said to have a net worth of £1 million.
Leah Totton – Series 9
Leah set up a chain of ethical cosmetic clinics called Dr Leah Clinics after winning The Apprentice in 2013. She opened her first clinic in central London, before opening two more in Essex and London.
Since winning, she has spoken openly about women’s issues and about the malpractice of cosmetic surgery.
Her website shows that she now has a number of employees and has won Best Cosmetic Clinic London two years in a row. Leah also trains in cosmetic procedures around the globe.

Mark Right – Series 10
The next The Apprentice winner was Mark Right. Mark became Lord Sugar’s business associate when he won The Apprentice in 2014. Mark has also been awarded Entrepreneur of the Year in 2018, whilst also making the Forbes 30 under 30 list.
The Irish Mirror reports that Mark sold his company late last year for a huge £10 million.

Joseph Valente – Series 11
Fans will remember Joseph not just for his business skill, but also for his facial hair. The former plumber was the youngest-ever winner of The Apprentice back in 2015 and began his partnership with Lord Sugar.
According to his LinkedIn, Joseph left the business he set up with Lord Sugar, ImpraGas in 2020. Since then, he has been CEO of Power2Succeed University, a business dedicated to training across the world. He is also the CEO of Trade Mastermind, a coaching academy for sole traders.
It seems as if his The Apprentice stint wasn’t enough TV for Joseph, who told The Mirror he has plans to launch his own business show.
“My aim for 2023 is to work with some production companies – I’ve got a couple of TV shows that I’ve got lined up conceptually that I want to pitch to production companies so I want to have my own business show. I think there’s room for a new business show.”

Alana Spencer – Series 12
Next on our list of where the Apprentice winners are now is baker Alana Spencer! Alana tempted Lord Sugar to dive into her sweet treats business when she won the 2016 series with Ridiculously Rich by Alana. The Welsh entrepreneur has since gone on to open 50 franchises, delivering cakes to customers and companies across the UK.
As well as having cafes across the nation, Alana set up her own bakery in her home town of Aberyswyth. Ridiculously Rich offers an online delivery and subscription service, as well as catering for functions and is featured in many stockists.
Alana went on to buy Lord Sugar Ridiculously Rich shares and so owns the business by herself now!

Sarah Lynn & James White – Series 13
In a first for The Apprentice, series 13 saw two winners crowned as Lord Sugar’s business partners.
James White was a joint winner back in 2017 with his IT recruitment business, Right Time Recruitment. Based in Birmingham, the firm operates throughout the whole of the UK. The Sun reports that the business initially struggled, making a £30,000 loss in its first six months of trading. However, according to James’ LinkedIn, he is still working as the CEO and Founder of the business, as well as a number of other projects.

Sarah Lynn was James’ fellow winner in 2017, launching her sweets business, Sweets in the City with Lord Sugar. Sian Gabbidion – Series 14
Sian won The Apprentice in 2018 with her swimwear and fashion brand Sian Marie. Unfortunately, her business initially suffered due to COVID, but by launching a loungewear range she saw celebrity fans in Molly-Mae Hague and Maura Higgins.

Carina Lepore – Series 15
Carina Lepore won in 2019 before The Apprentice was halted for two years due to COVID-19. The businesswoman won the £250,000 investment for her bakery business, Dough Artisan Bakehouse.
The pair are still working together in their 50-50 partnership, with two locations in Herne Hill and Beckenham. After suffering during the pandemic, the business is open as usual and ready to sell delicious bakes.
