Prepare to feel old as we deep dive into what the kids from Outnumbered have been up to since the show ended in 2016. We all know them as Jake, Ben and Karen, but unfortunately, they are all well into adulthood now. Known for their quick wit on primetime telly back in the day, we look at where the kids from Outnumbered are now.
The show aired on BBC 1 from 2007 for five series, with the main run ending in 2014. Though it briefly returned for a Christmas special in 2016, that was the last we saw of the Brockman family. Though the concept was simple, what made Outnumbered special were the kids. Not only were they incredibly talented for such a young age, but the semi-improvised nature of their actions made it great telly.
When it started, Tyger Drew-Honey was 11, Daniel Roche was 8 and Ramona Marquez was 6. Even across the series, the children changed dramatically, but their characters still remained intact. Almost 10 years since the run ended, they’ve changed even more.
Where The Outnumbered Kids Are Now
Let’s have a look at what the kids, who are now most definitely adults, have been up to lately.
Tyger Drew-Honey
Since his time on the show, Tyger Drew-Honey has stuck with acting. He played Greg Davies’, who recently got an honourary degree, son Dylan in Cuckoo, which ran from 2012-2019 as well as a number of voice acting roles for television and radio, including work for Red Bull, Dell and some radio dramas.
Now 27, Tyger has also done a lot of reality TV since 2016. You may recognise him from appearing on Celebs Go Dating, Celebrity Mastermind, Celebrity Masterchef and more.
Recently, the actor had a run in panto as Prince Charming and keeps fans up to date with his Instagram account.
The actor, whose real name is Lindzi, is forever telling fans and followers how grateful he is for the opportunities he gets. Clearly, his biggest fans are his parents who he frequently posts selfies with. That’s his real parents, not Hugh Dennis and Claire Skinner.
Daniel Roche
Daniel has changed quite dramatically since his Outnumbered days, but we shouldn’t have expected anything else. Now 23, Ben from Outnumbered now has a keen interest in rugby, proven by all the pictures on his Instagram.
The London-born star attended Kings College London and is taking the chance to do a lot of travelling.
Though Daniel’s iMDB doesn’t list any roles since the Outnumbered Christmas special in 2016, his social media still lists him as an actor. Though we’re not aware of any upcoming projects, perhaps the 23-year-old will be back on our screens again soon.
Ramona Marquez Played Karen In Outnumbered
Ramona started playing Karen when she was 6 years old; the young star turned 22 on February 24.
Now, the young star has some of the best eyeliner we’ve ever seen and has a lot of awesome tattoos.
With over 100k followers on Instagram, she’s the most followers of the Outnumbered kids. She posts little snippets of her life fairly frequently, including her changing hair colours and just the amount of fun she’s having.
Most importantly, she shared her love of Stranger Things’ Eddie Munson on her feed. So, really she is just like everyone else who got a bit obsessed there.
According to her IMDb, Ramona hasn’t acted since her Outnumbered days. Now, she’s reported to attend Manchester University where she studies Mandarin and Spanish.
In 2020, she contributed to the book Women Don’t Owe You Pretty by Florence Given.
The Outnumbered Kids Often Meet Up
Fans of the show will be glad to know that Jake, Ben and Karen are no strangers even though many years have passed since Outnumbered.
The trio often meet up and post about it on Instagram, with clearly no love lost between the TV siblings.
Though they’ve definitely grown up, they aren’t completely unrecognisable. We wonder what kind of havoc they would be giving Sue and Pete now.
There’s no revival on the cards, but it’s definitely something we would be opposed to.
