The weather is cold and there are twinkly lights everywhere which can only mean one thing, Christmas! It’s the season for gathering around and watching some festive favourites, but also some new ones too. Alfred Enoch
Alfred Enoch plays Adam in the film, the male lead alongside Polly. Having been in the business since he was a kid, you’ll recognise him as Dean from the Harry Potter franchise. His other big role was a starring role in How To Get Away With Murder, where he played Wes Gibbins alongside Oscar-winner Viola Davies.
In the UK, he was the main character in the second series of BBC’s Trust Me. The 2019 series saw him play Jamie, a war veteran with a spinal injury trying to figure out why everyone around him is dying. He also appeared in a 2014 episode of Sherlock, The Sign of Three, as the Bloody Guardsman.
As well as his TV and film work, he has also been in several plays since the Harry Potter franchise finished. Some of his most notable work was in the revival of Red and Romeo in the Globe Theatre production of Romeo and Juliet.
Kaya Scodelario
Kaya Scodelario stars as Emma alongside Alfred Enoch in This is Christmas 2022. Like Alfred, she’s been an actress from a young age and has gone on to star in some big dystopian franchises.
Kaya Scodelario first rose to fame after being cast in Skins as Effy Stoneman in 2007. The actress was only 14 at the time and had no previous acting experience. The series ran until 2013 and received much critical acclaim, particularly or Kaya for her portrayal of Effy.
In 2014, Kaya was the female lead in the film adaptation of the dystopian book series, The Maze Runner. Kaya was in all three films as Teresa until the franchise concluded in 2018. During her time in the franchise, she also appeared in The Pirates of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales as Carina Smyth.
Nadia Sofia Parkes
Nadia Sofia Parkes plays Suzy in the film and it is one of her first bigger roles. Before This is Christmas 2022, she has guest roles in Doctor Who‘s The Haunting of Villa Diodati. She was also in Starstruck as Sophie Diller, and Domina. Her first main role was in The Spanish Princess which aired from 2019-2020.
She is also known for being the former girlfriend of Spider-Man’s Tom Holland.
Faces that you will definitely recognise in the This Is Christman 2022 film cast are Timothy Spall, Ben Miller and Jeremy Irvine. The film landed on Sky yesterday (December 9) and is already receiving a lot of love. In the US, the film will air on Epix.
