The new year is a time for resolutions and a fresh start. It’s also a great time for TV with lots of new releases out to keep you occupied. Whether it’s Netflix, Amazon Prime, or a new BBC drama, there’s something for everyone to binge. Here is a round up of the best TV shows released in 2023.
YOU Season 4
On February 9 and March 9 we have two brand new instalments of Netflix original You to get excited about. Split into parts, this is one we’ll be talking about for months. Set in London, we see Joe (Penn Badgely) in a new city with lots of new people to stalk. If you haven’t already, catch up on the previous three seasons in preparation for this one.
Daisy Jones and the Six
If you’re a fan of the popular ‘BookTok’ author Taylor Jenkins Reid, you’ll already have this mini series on your to-watch list. Adapted from a book of the same name, Daisy Jones and The Six will be arriving on Amazon Prime on 3 March next year. It follows a band who reached stardom in 1970’s Los Angeles so expect sex, drugs and rock and roll.

The Last of Us
The Last of Us TV show will be based on the extremely popular game of the same name. The sci-fi drama takes place in a post apocalyptic world where humans are turned into zombies. With each episode costing $10 million, it’s set to be one of the most expensive shows ever made. It will be exclusively available on Sky from 16 January.
The Mandalorian Season 3
The Mandalorian Season 3 will debut on Disney Plus on March 3 next year. Mando and Baby Yoda are reunited and fans will get the first ever look at Mandalore in live action. Most of the plot remains a mystery but it is one that Star Wars fans can’t wait to uncover!
Stranger Things Season 5
After it’s huge popularity this year, we can’t not mention Stranger Things as it’s final ever season is due to be released. It will be hard to beat season 4 and, while we have no official release date for the final run, it isn’t far off.
These are just a few of the TV shows released in 2023 but they are definitely among the most anticipated.
