Sure, you want to pick a university because of its location, the course you want to study and maybe even the job opportunities after you graduate. However, you should definitely think about what the student accommodation is like too, After living with your parents for a number of years, you don’t want to end up somewhere you don’t like because you didn’t do the research.

Times Higher Education worked with Student Crowd to find the top-rated student accommodation in the UK, based on student reviews. After all, there’s no one better to ask than those who have lived there themselves.

The overall score was based on how they performed in the following criteria:

  • Location
  • Management
  • Cleanliness
  • Social/Communal areas
  • Activities/Events
  • WiFi

You have to admit, all of these things a pretty important to making a student’s life easier. Plus, living somewhere all of this is done and more makes the transition from living at home to on your own a lot easier.

Analysing over 10,000 reviews, these were the UK universities that came on top.

  1. Loughborough University – Falkner Eggington Halls and Harry French Hall.

The Most Instagrammable Accommodation In The UK

We all want to show off where we live to those back home and even on the internet. The following student accommodation does just that, being the ones you really want to put on your Instagram. They may not be the best value for money or have all the facilities that others have, but your pictures will definitely make your friends jealous.

True Student – Glasgow

It seems like most of the True Student accommodation around the UK is pretty amazing, but the one in Glasgow stands out. Not only do you have facilities such as a gym, printing and cookery classes thrown in with your rent, but there’s also a slide. Yes, you heard us right. The communal area here comes with an indoor caravan and slide so you can destress after a hard day at university. The decor is also modern and chic, giving off festival vibes whilst you study.

If you’re looking for those insta-worthy study pics, then this could be the place for you. Its rooms are crisp and modern and it even has a coffee lounge, a rooftop terrace and a karaoke room. There’s not much you can ask for.

Except for its communal study areas which make you feel like you’re in a fancy library. Full of natural light and comfy seating, your followers will be jealous they’re not studying there with you.

Zenith – Cardiff

This is definitely a premium accommodation, but it’s easy to see why. Giving off luxury airport lounge vibes, you’ll be sharing it all over your Instagram.

The living spaces are modern and spacious and you can even choose to live in an apartment with friends if you don’t mind sharing.

Like most, they have a gym and study spaces available, but also boast a sky lounge and coffee station to fulfil all your student needs. It even has half a basketball court if you need to get your head in the game.
