We all know by now that meditation and mindfulness exercises are good for our mental health. When it comes to incorporating those practices into our daily lives, however, it’s not always quite as simple. Whether you have some experience with meditation or you’re completely new to it, meditation podcasts are a great way to add a little bit of self-care to your day without a huge commitment. So here are some of the best podcasts for meditation.

The Mindful Minute

The Mindful Minute is an excellent option for beginners. These simple and concise guided meditations take only a few minutes out of your busy day, but the impact they can have is tangible. You can choose 10- to 30-minute practices that focus on stillness and making meditation accessible to everyone.

10 Percent Happier

If you’re a bit skeptical of some meditation methods, or if you’re more scientific-minded, 10 percent happier is an excellent choice for you. Dan Harris is a former anchor on Good Morning America who started off from a place of skepticism towards meditation.

However, after having a panic attack on live TV, he began to give meditation the benefit of the doubt and started exploring it more. He discusses it in a simple and straightforward way and has expert guests on to talk about different aspects of the field.

Untangle

Untangle is another interview-based podcast. If you’re ready to commit to a practice, the Tara Branch Podcast as a great option for you. Tara Branch uses her PhD in Psychology as well as Eastern practices to delve into how self-compassion can improve your mental health. She speaks on a wide range of subjects, so you can listen in order or just select an episode that looks relevant to you.
