It’s been everywhere and more and finally, our curiosities have gotten the best of us. It seemed like an odd hack, but we look into if Share Other Block on Instagram is actually a thing.
Everybody wants to know if they’ve been blocked and by who. Drama definitely makes the day more interesting, and there’s nothing like some unwarranted blocking to call someone out. Let’s see if the trending hack on Instagram really works, or if we’ve all been taken for a ride.
Does Share Other Blocked Work On Instagram?
No, this feature doesn’t exist on Instagram…yet.
The worst has happened, and we all feel pretty gullible having believed that this hack was real. After everything we’ve seen over the years on social media, we should have known better.
Videos and Reels ‘sharing’ the hack has over half a million likes, so it’s clear it’s just a ploy to get engagement up. Another way to do this is to have lots of people comment on your posts. Now, if you’ve discovered that the share other blocked hack doesn’t work, the first thing you’re going to do is comment about it.
So, not only have we all been lied to, but we’ve helped out the people who have done it too. Luckily, lots of people have left hilarious comments to make the manipulation a little easier.
One used the trending phrase and adapted “You can now find your dad who never returned. Share>others>Milk.” If you genuinely believe your dad popped out for some milk…you may want to sit down.
The biggest problem with this hack is that the ‘other’ button doesn’t exist, meaning people are going on a wild goose chase trying to find it and leaving funny comments when they realise.
“I guess im blocked by “other” option also,” one said. Another comment, with almost 5,000 likes said “Day 69 of searching for an other option.”
How To See Who Blocked You
The best way to check if someone has blocked you is by checking their Instagram profile. Clearly, doing this for all your friends may take a while, but if you’re suspicious of someone in particular then it’s super quick.
Another way is to try sending them a DM or mentioning them in a comment. You won’t be able to do either of these if they’ve blocked you. In fact, you’ll get a ‘user not found‘ message which will confirm your worries.
Or, you could do it the old-fashioned way and just ask them. However, that’s definitely not subtle enough and if you can do it without any confrontation then that’s probably for the best.
Now you know the hack doesn’t work, you can carry on scrolling through those videos knowing better. It’s not certain whether Instagram will release a quick way for checking who you are blocked by, but nothing exists currently. For now, you’ll just have to use the methods above.
