The latest series of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here comes to an end today with the three remaining celebrities battling it out to be crowned. It’s captured all of us for three weeks, but don’t worry, ITV has a special I’m A Celebrity All Star series in store for fans.
The 2022 series of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here has been a whopper. From Boy George causing drama and chanting in the mornings, to Chris Moyles only bringing back 1 star (even with Owen’s help!). Oh, and there was a certain politician whose entry was a bit…marmite to say the least.
The All Star Series
Speaking on This Morning, Ant and Dec spoke briefly about the upcoming All Star series:
“I don’t know why it’s never been done before,” Ant mused, “It’s a spin-off from the main show where we’ve got ex-campmates to all come together in South Africa competing challenges and trials.”
It’s at that point that Dec steps in, warning Ant that he’s already said too much: “I don’t think you should [keep talking]. I think this is a secret.”
What the two do confirm is that it won’t just be former winners, but instead fan favourites coming to South Africa. “It’s going to be great!”
Stepping away from their usual Australian jungle, it’s not certain whereabouts in South Africa the special series will be, but we doubt it’ll be a walk in the park.
The Rumoured I’m A Celebrity All Stars Line Up
Whilst no one has been officially confirmed, multiple sources including Capital and The Sun have reported on this rumoured lineup.
- Amir Khan
Amir came fifth in the 2017 series. The former boxer was most famous for eating the strawberries and cream won in a Dingo Dollar challenge with Ian Lee. They were meant to take it back to all the campmates, but decide to gobble them all up themselves before returning to camp, feigning that they hadn’t won the treat.
Let’s just say the campmates weren’t too happy about that…
- Gillian McKeith
Who on Earth could forget Gillian? The dietician came eighth back in 2010, but it was her unusual reaction to trials that made her I’m A Celebrity famous. Fans still can’t decide whether she was faking it or not, but let’s all hope that Gillian and her fainting make a return for the All Star series.
- Helen Flanagan
Speaking of trials, back in the 2012 series, Helen was voted by the public to do a huge seven trials in a row. The actress is famous for playing Rosie Webster on Coronation Street, but became pretty well known for screaming her way through trials too…that’s when she wanted to do them.
Her squeamish antics will definitely be loved by fans if she does make a return. We think she’ll make a great pair with Gillian.
- Shaun Ryder
Shaun lost out to Stacey Solomon in the 2010 series to finish in second place. Fans will definitely remember The Happy Mondays singer being bitten by a snake in a group trial. Although he definitely swore, Shaun was incredibly calm as he waited for medical attention. We definitely would have screamed the jungle down if it had been us.
We wonder if he and Gillian will have anymore feuds…
The Previous Winners Possibly Returning
- Joe Swash
Whereas Shaun lost out to Stacey, Joe Swash ended up marrying her! Expected to be leaving his new wife and children is Joe Swash as he is rumoured to be returning to I’m A Celebrity All Stars.
Joe won the series back in 2008 and formed a friendship with George Takei. He’s since been on Dancing On Ice and won that one too. Is there nothing the Eastender’s actor can’t do?
- Georgia Toffolo
Speaking of winning and forming unusual friendships, Georgia Toffolo is rumoured to be joining the others in South Africa. The Made in Chelsea star won in 2017 and became friends with former prime minister Boris Johnson’s dad, Stanley.
Toff and Amir were both in the 2017 series. Let’s just hope no strawberries go missing this time…
- Phil Tuffnell
If you remember Phil Tufnell winning, then you really have been watching since the beginning. The cricket legend won I’m A Celebrity all the way back in 2003. Phil was known for being bored, well, all of the time and being quite vocal about it.
Hopefully this time it’ll be a tad more interesting for him.
Who Else Is Rumoured To Be Heading In?
- Carol Vorderman
The Countdown legend came eighth back in 2016 and quickly became the ‘Camp-mum’ for that series of I’m A Celebrity.
Carol took part in eating trials and fans enjoyed her supposed flirting with comedian Joel Dommett. Her return to the show would definitely be loved by fans.
- Paul Burrell
Paul finished in second place in 2004 and became well known for his unusual faces whilst completing trials. The former butler to Princess Diana would go down a real treat with fans who will hope to see his iconic faces again on I’m A Celebrity All Stars.
- Fatima Whitbread
The Olympic javelin thrower came third in 2011 and was most famous for getting a cockroach stuck up her nose. She’s since gone on to do Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, so she’ll definitely be prepared for whatever South Africa has in store.
- Andrew Whyment
Coronation street icon Andrew Whyment lost out to Jacqueline Jossa in the 2019 series of I’m A Celebrity. Andy was massively popular with fans, particularly when he took on the celebrity cyclone with ease. Never causing any drama, Andy will be a great calming presence in the All Stars camp.
- Myleene Klass
The Hear’Say singer finished second in 2006 and has since been a host on Loose Women and hosts on Smooth Radio. Her show scene is one of the most memorable in the show’s history and certain fans will be hoping for a repeat.
And Last But Not Least…
- Jordan Banjo
Jordan won Britain’s Got Talent with Diversity in 2007 but could only finish ninth when he appeared on I’m A Celebrity in 2016. The dancer formed a friendship with Larry Lamb and was famous for singing some Spice Girls whilst competing his trials.
- Dean Gaffney
Dean was on in 2005 and finished in fifth place. The Eastenders legend is known for playing Robbie Jackson on the soap.
The actor was well-known on the show for being scared of everything — here’s hoping he’ll be equally as entertaining this time around!
- Janice Dickinson
Janice is sure to bring the drama into the camp, butting heads with many of her former campmates back in 2007. The 70s supermodel finished second, even with her brutally honest opinions. Will she be the source of some arguments for I’m A Celebrity All Stars? Fingers Crossed!
