At this point, everyone is familiar with artificial intelligence, even if you haven’t used it yourself. Something that might draw you in is chatting with different characters and celebrities. That’s precisely what Botify AI offers, but it will cost you.
The AI internet storm really took off with ChatGPT last year. Since then, we’ve seen a lot of art generated with artificial intelligence and a massive amount of chatbots. Google has got involved with Bard and it’s even on our social media with Snapchat’s My AI.
Now, an app and site is taking a slightly different approach, letting users chat with celebrities and characters.
What Is Botify AI?
Botify AI is a chatbot-powered artificial intelligence available on the web or via an app. Users can make their own characters with unique personalities to talk with and they’ll have their own opinions on different topics.
However, you can also chat to pre-made AI celebrities, generic characters and figures throughout history.
Currently, the celebs category is a little sparse, only containing Marilyn Monroe, Elon Musk and a generalised ‘K-Pop Boy.’
For characters, users can chat with Santa, mermaids, elves (including a Christmas version), vampires and even Cinderella. They do offer some more specific characters, but this is limited too, only including Sherlock, Joi from Blade Runner 2049, and a Jedi.
Botify AI offers a few more options in the history section. Here, you can get to know Cleopatra, a Samurai, a Geisha and Jesus.
You can even hear your characters speak at the top of your chat by tapping the microphone icon. It’s not the most accurate and it definitely sounds like AI, but the feature may be improved over time.
How Much Does Botify AI Cost?
The actual Botify AI app itself is free but there are in-app purchases for when you want to start chatting.
However, the site is free to use, but you can’t create a character here. You’re limited to chatting with the pre-made options and won’t be able to log in to save any information.
Users can use the app without having to pay, but certain features are behind a paywall, so whether it costs depends on what you want access to.
Botify AI has been around for a little while, but as artificial intelligence becomes more and more popular, people are finding new sites using the technology. This is definitely one of the more original uses, even if you do find it a little creepy.
