The most exciting night of music across Europe is coming to the UK. It’s only a matter of months away, so it’s time to get out your glitter and sequins. Everybody wants tickets to the events, but you’ll want to know who is hosting Eurovision 2023 before you go.
Sports fans have had their fun with the World Cup, FA Cup and Rugby. Now, it’s Eurovision fans’ time to shine. The countdown is officially on until Liverpool gets to host the competition. Those eager to go will be hoping that tickets (and hotel rooms!) are still available. However, those hosting won’t need to buy tickets to the final to get in, as they will be presenting Eurovision UK 2023.
Who Is Presenting Eurovision UK?
AJ Odudu and Rylan Clarke are presenting the Eurovision 2023 semi-final allocation draw this afternoon (Tuesday, January 31). The countries wishing to compete in the final and allocated one of two semi-finals to decide if they will make it to the Eurovision final 2023.
Who is hosting the final still hasn’t been officially announced. However, there are definite front runners becoming the bookie’s favourites. Radio Times reports that Graham Norton will not be taking on the presenting gig after commentating on the event for a number of years. Though there was speculation it could then be Phil and Holly, the former said they wouldn’t be able to as Eurovision is aired on the BBC.
Without those three, Good To Know has Bonnie Tyler, Davina McCall and Dermot O’Leary as the next favourites. After their presenting stint today for the allocation draw, we think that Rylan should definitely be a top-runner for hosting Eurovision 2023. Sam Ryder should definitely be in the running too! After impressing with her New Year’s Eve show and coming second in Eurovision last year, he certainly has the experience!
Hopefully, it won’t be long until who is presenting the final is confirmed.
Can You Buy Eurovision 2023 Final Tickets?
No, tickets are not yet available for any of the Eurovision UK 2023 shows, including the grand final.
When tickets are available, there will be nine shows fans can get tickets for. There will be 3 shows for the first semi-final, 3 for the second and 3 for the grand final.
Semi-Final 1 Live Show: Tuesday, 9 May
Semi-Final 2 Live Show: Thursday, 11 May
Grand Final Live Show: Saturday, 13 May
Each of the three events has a Jury Show, a Family Show and then the televised Live Show. The Jury show is the night before the live show and is a full run-through where the jury cast their votes. The family show is in the afternoon of the live show and acts as a last rehearsal. The Live TV Show is then what will be seen on TV.
Interest in all the events is expected to be high. You’ll have more of a chance of getting tickets by attending a semi-final event or the jury/family shows. Plus, going to any of the earlier events means you can enjoy the Grand Final in the comfort of your own home.
