Why You Should Not Feel Guilty At This Time Of Year

At this time of year, you can most definitely start to feel a little bit lost and guilty.

This could be because you have overindulged during the Christmas period, and have now stopped your normal routine, or potentially because you haven’t achieved what you wanted to at the beginning of 2022.

Why Do You Feel Anxious In Winter?

Knowing that this is not an uncommon feeling, and that it is more of your anxieties and self-doubt creeping forward as a new year approaches, can comfort many.

At this time of year, considering the hardships many have been through, especially as fears of the cost-of-living crisis grow, you should not judge where you’re at in your life.

Enjoying yourself with friends and family, which you could not do a few years ago due to the COVID-19 outbreak and isolation rules, should be a huge positive to focus on.

It is easy to forget the huge time in isolation that many endured, so having a Christmas where you do splurge should be thoroughly enjoyed by all.

How To Ease The Winter Blues

If you are feeling a bit sluggish, you do not have to wait until the new year to start some regimes that you want to implement to feel better today.

Going on a long walk or run can really help clear your mind and allow you to feel a little more yourself.

Many have probably gone through all of their Christmas food, and so at the next shop you can already start your healthy or nutritious homemade meals if you wish to do so.

However, if you want to splurge a little more until the New year, then this is a judge free zone!

Enjoy that extra piece of cake, crack open another bottle of wine, as if you prefer to start your healthy new regime habits then the new year is definitely a time and has the possibility to do so.

You should not feel that you are overindulging, simply enjoying yourself after a tricky year.

Hopefully the year ahead can bring some real enjoyment, festivities, and helps you to achieve everything that you want to and more.

Happy to new year, and remember that it is just another day so try not put too much pressure on changing who you are.

You will grow into the person who you are meant to be, and this not only takes time, but can become overwhelming if you put too much pressure on it.
